Christmas Cookie Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 1/2 sticks (or 3/4 cup) melted unsalted butter.
02 - 1 large egg and 1 extra yolk.
03 - 2 teaspoons of vanilla.
04 - Half a cup of sugar, granulated.
05 - 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar.
06 - 2 cups plain flour.
07 - A teaspoon of baking soda.
08 - 1/4 teaspoon baking powder.
09 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
10 - Half a cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
11 - Half a cup each of red and green M&Ms.
12 - 2 tablespoons of festive sprinkles.
13 - Half a cup of crushed pretzels.
14 - 1/2 cup of chewy caramels, chopped up.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat the oven to 350°F and chop up the caramel candies into tiny pieces.
02 - Melt butter, mix in sugars manually, and then stir in eggs plus vanilla.
03 - Blend baking soda, salt, and baking powder. Slowly fold in the flour.
04 - Gently add M&Ms, pretzels, caramel chunks, sprinkles, and chocolate chips.
05 - Spread dough in a 9x13 pan and bake for 16-18 mins till golden.
06 - Wait for the bars to cool fully, then cut them into squares.

02 - Skip the stand mixer; mix everything by hand.
03 - These freeze well for about 2 months.
04 - They stay fresh for three days on the counter.
