Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

β†’ Base

01 - 1 and 1/2 lbs chicken breasts, skinless and boneless
02 - 8 chopped bacon slices
03 - 10 oz of penne pasta

β†’ Sauce

04 - 1 packet of ranch dressing mix (dry)
05 - 1 cup of sour cream
06 - 2 cups of cheddar cheese, shredded
07 - 4 oz of cream cheese
08 - 2 cups broth, chicken-flavored

β†’ Aromatics & Seasonings

09 - 3 minced garlic cloves
10 - 1 teaspoon black pepper
11 - 1 teaspoon regular salt
12 - 1/2 minced yellow onion
13 - 2 teaspoons dried parsley
14 - Green onions, chopped, for topping

# Instructions:

01 - Cook the penne according to the package directions, rinse with cool water after draining.
02 - Fry the bacon until it’s crispy. Save a tablespoon of the grease, and set the bacon aside.
03 - Brown chicken cubes in bacon fat with some pepper and salt. Toss in onions till they soften, then garlic for a minute.
04 - Mix broth, sour cream, cream cheese, seasonings, bacon, and ranch mix. Bring to a light boil, then lower the heat.
05 - Add cheese and pasta into the sauce, simmer for five minutes, and sprinkle with green onions.

01 - You can make this ahead and warm it up later.
02 - Add extra broth if you want it creamier.
