Frozen Cherry Lime Drink (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 ½ cups of ice cubes.
02 - ¼ cup of fresh lime juice, around 2 limes worth.
03 - ½ cup of sugar.
04 - Optional: 2 tablespoons of half-and-half.
05 - Zest from a big lime or two tiny ones.
06 - ½ cup of water.
07 - ¼ cup tart cherry juice with no sugar added.

# Instructions:

01 - Combine the sugar and water in a small pan. Warm it over medium heat and stir until the sugar is gone. Toss in the lime zest, then take it off the heat.
02 - Cover the sweet mix and set it aside for an hour. Once steeped, pour it through a fine strainer to get rid of the zest. (You can stash extra syrup in the fridge for up to a week.)
03 - In your blender, mix 1/2 cup of the lime syrup, your fresh lime juice, tart cherry juice, some half-and-half if desired, and the ice.
04 - Blend everything until you end up with a nice icy slush.
05 - Split the frozen limeade into four 8-ounce glasses and drink up right away.

# Notes:

01 - This cool lime drink has a tangy kick and is perfect for summer. Make it your own by adding more cherry juice for boldness or a bit of half-and-half to make it richer.
