Cherry Chocolate Treats (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/4 cup cherry jam.
02 - 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla.
03 - 3/4 cup softened unsalted butter.
04 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
06 - 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar.
07 - 5 ounces dark cherry chocolate, chopped.
08 - 2 egg yolks at room temperature.
09 - 6 tablespoons heavy cream.
10 - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.
11 - 1/2 cup Dutch cocoa powder.
12 - 1 1/2 cups plain flour.

# Instructions:

01 - Stir together the dry stuff, beat the butter and sugars, then combine with the eggs and vanilla before adding the flour mixture.
02 - Roll 32 dough balls, scoop them first, press in the centers, and then chill them for an hour.
03 - Set your oven to 350°F, place 8 balls on each tray, bake for 9-11 minutes, press the dents again while hot, then let cool down.
04 - Mix cream and chocolate until smooth, then stir in the cherry jam.
05 - Spoon the ganache into the cookies’ centers and chill them for about 10-15 minutes.

# Notes:

01 - Go for Dutch cocoa—it brings out the flavor.
02 - Store filled cookies in the freezer unassembled.
03 - While still warm, reshape the cookies.
04 - Keep them sealed for up to three days.
