Cook bacon till crunchy, then break it into bits. Grate the cheddar cheese and set it aside for later use.

Toss the frozen corn, grated cheese, bacon crumbles, cream, melted butter, garlic powder, and paprika into the slow cooker. Stir them all up so they’re evenly combined.

Scatter some salt and pepper over the mixture. Stir it again to spread the seasonings evenly throughout.

Pop the lid on the slow cooker. Set it to low for 4 hours or go for high at 2 hours. Give it a stir now and again so it cooks evenly and keeps the cheese from clumping.

Once it’s done cooking, stir everything one final time. Adjust the flavorings if you need to. If you want, sprinkle it with parsley before digging in.
