Cheddar Corn Slow Cooked (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Essentials

01 - 1/4 cup melted butter, unsalted
02 - 6 crispy bacon slices, crumbled
03 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 4 cups corn kernels, frozen
05 - 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
06 - 1/2 cup heavy cream
07 - 1/4 teaspoon paprika powder
08 - Salt and pepper to your liking

→ Optional Topping

09 - 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley

# Instructions:

01 - Cook bacon till crunchy, then break it into bits. Grate the cheddar cheese and set it aside for later use.
02 - Toss the frozen corn, grated cheese, bacon crumbles, cream, melted butter, garlic powder, and paprika into the slow cooker. Stir them all up so they’re evenly combined.
03 - Scatter some salt and pepper over the mixture. Stir it again to spread the seasonings evenly throughout.
04 - Pop the lid on the slow cooker. Set it to low for 4 hours or go for high at 2 hours. Give it a stir now and again so it cooks evenly and keeps the cheese from clumping.
05 - Once it’s done cooking, stir everything one final time. Adjust the flavorings if you need to. If you want, sprinkle it with parsley before digging in.
