Gooey Butter Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened.
02 - 8 ounces full-fat cream cheese, brought to room temperature.
03 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
04 - 1 large egg.
05 - 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
06 - 1 (15.25-ounce) box yellow cake mix.
07 - 1/2 cup festive sprinkles.

# Instructions:

01 - Turn the oven on to 350°F. Grab parchment paper and line two baking trays.
02 - With a mixer, blend the cream cheese, butter, egg, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
03 - Add the cake mix and stir until thick dough develops. Toss in sprinkles and gently combine.
04 - Let dough sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes so it’s easier to handle.
05 - Shape dough into balls about 1½ inches wide, roll them in powdered sugar, and space them 2 inches apart on the trays.
06 - Bake for roughly 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers stay soft. Let them cool on the tray before transferring to a rack.

# Notes:

01 - Keep at room temperature for up to 3 days.
02 - Freeze for as long as 3 months.
03 - Full-fat cream cheese makes them better.
