Garlic Butter Beef Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Components

01 - 8 ounces of pasta (spaghetti or penne)
02 - 2 cups of water
03 - ½ cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
04 - ½ cup beef broth
05 - 1 lb ground beef
06 - 2 tablespoons of butter
07 - 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
08 - 1 teaspoon of dried Italian herbs
09 - Season with salt and pepper as you like

→ Extras You Can Add

10 - Small bunch of parsley or basil, chopped
11 - Dash of crushed red pepper flakes
12 - Cooked spinach or mushrooms
13 - ¼ cup of heavy cream

# Instructions:

01 - Melt butter in the same skillet and toss in the chopped garlic. Cook for a minute or two until it's aromatic, but don't let it burn.
02 - Heat a large pan over medium-high heat. Brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste, drain any excess fat, and remove from the pan.
03 - Pour the water and beef broth into the pan, then add the uncooked pasta. Stir it all together, bring everything to a boil, then lower the heat to medium-low. Let it simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta has soaked up most of the liquid and is tender (about 10-12 minutes).
04 - Add the cooked beef back into the pan. Mix in the grated Parmesan and sprinkle the dried Italian seasoning. For a creamier dish, stir in a bit of heavy cream.
05 - Taste the dish and add more salt or pepper if you need to. Serve up while it's warm, topping it with herbs or extra cheese if you’d like.

# Notes:

01 - You only need one pot for this meal, making cleanup a breeze. Plus, the flavor is still big!
02 - Let the pasta rest for a couple of minutes before digging in if you want a thicker sauce.
