Golden apple toast (Print Version)

01 - 4 slices of bread (any kind: sandwich, brioche, or rustic)
02 - 2 apples (like Golden or Boskoop)
03 - 30g butter
04 - 2 tablespoons sugar
05 - 1 pinch of salt
06 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Peel the apples, then dice them into small pieces. Heat 20g of butter in a pan over medium heat. Toss in the apple chunks, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir frequently and cook for 8-10 minutes, until the apples soften and get a light caramel color. Mash gently with a fork for a smoother spread.
02 - Toast the bread slices either in a toaster or by frying them in a pan with a little butter.
03 - Spread the remaining butter over the warm bread, then generously layer the apple butter on top. For an extra treat, try drizzling some honey or serving with a scoop of vanilla ice cream alongside.
